Inspiration
What is yours?
Why do you get up at 5:00 AM everyday to train? Why do you sacrifice your favorite foods? Why do you pay a trainer a great deal of your hard-earned money to whip you into some kid of decent shape? Why do you continue to train even though your shoulder and back hurt you? Why do you put up with the constant ridicule from certain “friends” and family that think you are “wasting your time” with all of this “working out stuff?” Why do you show up to your workout session even though you are still fighting off a stomach virus? Why all of this ‘torture’?
I have been doing this long enough to understand what makes people tick to a degree. We are all different. The reasons I train are very different from the reason’s you train. But in essence, we all have something in common. We do this because of inspiration. Once you figure out what inspires you or motivates you, you are more than half way there. You need to take action and inspiration and motivation are what prompt you to ‘move’ and finally do something. It is what makes you workout when you feel like crap. Its what makes you spend money on training, certain foods, supplements, etc… Its what makes you sacrifice your valuable time that might be spent with friends and family.
So what is your inspiration? Here are some that I have heard from clients and friends:
“I want to look good in my bathing suit”
“I want to look really good for the summer”
“I want to look good naked”
“I want to feel better in the morning”
“I want my the pain in my back to go away”
“I want to be able to wear my jeans again”
“I want to finally loose the weight I gained from having a baby”
“I want to be stronger than anyone I know”
“I want to look good for my husband”
“I want to look like I did in high school”
Find your inspiration and go for it. Summer is pretty much here, but it’s still not too late to look better and feel great.

I train to be strong, both mentally and physically.
I’m motivated by competion. Always have been. I react favorably toward opposition. I love when someone tells me I “can’t do it.” As for inspiration, what I will go to the wall for, that would be my family.
