Kelly Ripa

I graduated high school with Kelly Ripa. I guess that is my claim to fame. Well, not really. However, Kelly and I were in three classes together throughout our senior year. I was even her dance partner during P.E. class for a semester.
What does that fact have to do with fitness, and more so this blog? Nothing directly, but there is a point (or 3) to be made in this post.
If you watch Regis and Kelly at all lately, you can clearly see that Kelly looks to be in phenomenal shape these days. Her arms have more definition than ever, and she appears to be in very good condition. I am not going to pretend to be privy to her training routine or even her diet, but I can safely assume that she does probably train hard and follows her diet pretty strictly. No amount of money or fame allows you to take short cuts. We all have to follow the same rules pretty much.
I read somewhere that Kelly’s trainer has her do 100 push ups a day, and I have no trouble believing that. The shape of her arms proves it.
For the last year, I have trained two women, who incidentally, I also graduated high school with back in the day. We do a lot of push-ups and other arm work and the results are very noticeable. One Hundred push-ups a day is not out of the question for anyone, man or woman.
Before you email me with the, “But Kelly has access to the best trainers and nutritionists, no wonder she looks the way she does” complaints, save them. Kelly’s trainers are no better than me, and most other trainers out there. I would go as far to say, they probably do not know half of what I do…but that is not the point. The point is Kelly has worked her butt off to look the way she does. There were no short cuts, and nothing remarkable about how she has come to look how she does. She worked at it, just like anyone else out there that reinvented his or her body. I would even venture to say that she has less time to workout than most of us.
I mentioned above that I was Kelly’s dance partner in high school. I didn’t mention that to make me look cool or important. Who really cares? I shared that aspect of my history to make a point. Kelly did not look anything then, as she does now. She wasn’t fat, or slim. She wasn’t buff, or flabby…rather she just was a normal girl. I don’t think she worked out much back then either.
I hear women complain about their body all of the time. Actually, it is a daily thing that I get from a good chunk of my women clients. Some complain each session without fail, and others every other week or so. I also hear a good portion of them wanting to look like the celebrities that they see on T.V and in movies. Whether or not you agree that this is a worthy goal or not, it is what it is, and I do hear this more than you think. The fact of the matter is, most of us can look better and feel better than we do at this moment. If you want a better body, you have to work at it. If you want to look like one of your favorite celebs, you have to work at it. Genetics play a role, and for many a big role, but I have helped people overcome their own misconceptions about their genetics only to guide them to the body of their dreams.
Stop wishing, wanting, or complaining and go after what you think you deserve. There is no magic system that celebrities follow to look like they do. They have more money than most of us, but we all play with the same rules. So the next time you decide that you don’t look the way you want, do something about it. Find a system, a trainer, or a good program and get to work. Maybe one day you will hear people saying that they want to look like you do.
So how do you sculpt your body to look the way you want it to look? You can hire a good trainer, or try to figure it out on your own. Hoever, if you want to work from home or at your own gym, one of the best fat loss and body sculpting products available, that gets incredible results, is Craig Ballentine’s Turbulence Training. Craig’s system is proven and probably the best overall product around for fat loss, and body sculpting. I never hesitate in recommending Turbulence Training for anyone looking to lose fat fast and get the body that they want.
