Recently, I was interviewed by John Izzo for his website.  If you haven’t heard of John or his work, you need to check out his site. John is an experienced  personal trainer and strength coach that backs up his immense knowledge with hands-on, in the trenches experience.

In this interview, John asked me some great questions about the personal training profession, and I didn’t hold anything back. I talk about what is good and what is wrong with the profession.  If you want more of an “insiders” look at the personal trainer, you have to check out this interview.

What trainers are doing wrong with their clients.

Why the industry is not going in the right direction.

My “go to” exercise modality.

…and so much more!

Excellent interview Scott – You and John are offering some very valuable information for free that any serious trainers should be taking advantage of -

  2. Awesome interview. It definetly reminds me of some people I know when you talk about being who you are not. A person I have learned the most from has never tried to be anything they are not and have never earned a penny from me, just an honest person, that will admit if they don’t know the answer to something.
