The “Six-Pack”

Who doesn’t want a six-pack? (Abs, not beer…) Maybe not all of you, some people like to just get a “flat stomach” and not six-pack, rock hard abs. Whatever you desire, we can probably agree that most people reading this want a firm, flat stomach of some sort, and if you can get some abs showing, all the better.
I get many requests in my job from people. For the last 18 years, people have asked me to help them with about everything. People want to feel better, look better, play better, think better, etc… “Help me lose 10 pounds!” “Help me get rid of my back pain” “Help me get stronger” “Help me put on 20 pounds of muscle” “Help me become a better baseball player” “Help me get better legs” and the list goes on and on. One of the biggest requests for physical help that I have gotten and still get today is how you can get your abs to show. Just how can you get rid of that belly fat, flatten your stomach and show some abs when you lift your shirt up.
Getting abs seems to be the number one area that people look to when they are judging their own (and others) body image. If you can see abs, you must be in great condition. Besides, if your abs are showing, you probably are in very good shape and the rest of you probably looks great too. Bottom line, people want a six-pack…and if not a six-pack, at least a two or a four-pack showing.
Like most information that is “out there”, you will hear 100 things you need to do if you want to get a six-pack. Everyone has the answer. The problem is most people will give you advice that requires you to do 100’s of sit-ups and crunches and all kinds of things of the sort. Most people have done 1000’s of crunches over the years and still have yet to see an abdominal muscle. If you are one of those people, just know that it is not your fault! You have been getting bad information. Building the abdominals is not about performing endless amounts of sit-ups, or crunches.
So what is the answer? Full body training with and without weights…if done the right way, will do more to build up your abs then 1000’s of crunches ever will. I wrote a feature article about ‘Core Training’ in the current issue of Men’s Fitness. It has great advice and some exercises about working that core and getting that six-pack. I highly recommend that you pick up a copy and read about the importance of core training as well.
If you are serious about getting a six-pack…I mean really serious, Mike Geary has developed what I feel is one of the best products on the subject out there. Truth about six pack abs, is Mike’s highly successful program for getting those coveted abs showing. Mike’s product is one of the best sellers on the internet for building a rock hard, six-pack, without doing endless amounts of crunches and sit-ups. As a matter of fact, his program is much more than just building the abs. Mike talks about nutrition, full body training and other areas that are all related to, and important to getting that midsection to look the way you want it too. I have yet to find a product that is as complete as Truth about Six-Pack abs. Again, only if you are serious you should check this product out and only if you are serious, you should try it. Mike’s plan is simple and easy to follow and can help you get that midsection you always wanted by summer.
